Beruf | Charles Neunhoffer a competitive cyclist, initially made roller skates for a living. Mr Neunhoffer then purchased the Cobb & Co. stables complete with cobblestone floor, in O’Connell Street, Melbourne. Horses were hitched to one wall, saddles m ounted on the other, and at the rear of the stable, Canadian made bicycle components were assembled and painted. The pushbikes were marketed under the names of Redbird, Bluebird and Massey Harris. As the business grew, Mr Neunhoffer importedRussell motor cars and Fafnir motor bikes. In 1914 the Canada Cycle Co. was renamed the Canada Cycle and Motor Co. (Vic) Pty Ltd, and in 1915 the Company was granted the Dodge Brothers motor car franchise for Victoria and the Southern Riverina.

DEATH ' "I. C. J. NEUNHOFFER.
DETROIT, Nov. 5.
Mr. Charles J. Neunhofler, motor car dealer, of Melbourne, died at his hotel to-night, from heart trouble.
Mr. Neunhoffer, who was 69 years of age, was governing director of the Canada Cycle and Motor Company (Vic.) Pty.. Ltd. He was the first president of the Victorian Chamber of Automotive Industries.
